Una revelación de infancia me hizo sentir que lo más importante del mundo era cambiar nuestra relación práctica y espiritual con la naturaleza. Así se definió en mi interior ese objetivo y se unió a mi obsesión por dibujar y representar todo lo que mi imaginación creaba. Así me transformé en ilustradora de naturaleza, con un atributo diferente: la imaginación y la técnica gráfica mezcladas con conocimiento científico que entiende los misterios de la naturaleza.

Con el pasar de los años me he dedicado a observar, entender y mostrar a través de ilustraciones lo que distintas entidades buscan enseñar sobre los territorios, casi como excusa para recorrer mi país, conocer comunidades y participar desde la interdisciplina en los proyectos ilustrando ciencia pero considerando cultura, arte y geopoética. 12 años aportando a la calidad de la educación ambiental en Chile a través de una seria y constante exploración técnica de la ilustración para un estilo propio que nace de forma natural y es considerado en cada obra.

Hasta ahora el foco de mi arte fue una herramienta para mostrar mi punto de vista de la naturaleza como refugio para lxs demás, para amarla y protegerla entre todxs. Lamentablemente el futuro nos deparó un escenario distinto al que hubiera querido de niña y la extinción de ecosistemas completos ya es irrefutable. Esto duele, decepciona y exige el cuestionamiento ético, cósmico y espiritual que me forma como artista, un cambio interior que me lleva a la necesidad de una metamorfósis y nuevas inspiraciones.
En esta obra quisiera dar un vuelco personal e íntimo desde esa misma mirada del entorno, que desde siempre me ha consolado en entender el drama humano al observar el caos y la crueldad, componentes intrínsecos de la naturaleza. De esta forma asimilar la pérdida: el duelo del mundo como lo conocemos y quisimos, el fin de lo prístino. Y así dar paso a nuevas miradas dejándome seducir por este planeta intervenido.

A childhood revelation made me feel that the most important thing in the world was to change our practical and spiritual relationship with nature. This is how that objective was defined within me and it was linked to my obsession with drawing and representing everything that my imagination created. This is how I became a nature illustrator, with a different attribute: imagination and graphic technique mixed with scientific knowledge that understands the mysteries of nature.

Over the years, I have dedicated myself to observing, understanding, and showcasing through illustrations what different entities seek to teach about territories, almost as an excuse to explore my country, get to know communities, and participate from an interdisciplinary perspective in projects that illustrate science while considering culture, art, and geopoetics. For 12 years, I have contributed to the quality of environmental education in Chile through a serious and ongoing technical exploration of illustration, aiming to develop a unique style that arises naturally and is considered in each work.

Until now, the focus of my art has been a tool to show my perspective on nature as a refuge for others, to love and protect it together. Unfortunately, the future has presented us with a different scenario than I would have wished for as a child, and the extinction of entire ecosystems is now irrefutable. This hurts, disappoints, and demands ethical, cosmic, and spiritual questioning that shapes me as an artist, an inner change that leads me to the need for metamorphosis and new inspirations.

In this work, I would like to take a personal and intimate turn from that same perspective of the environment that has always consoled me in understanding the human drama by observing chaos and cruelty, intrinsic components of nature. In this way, I aim to assimilate the loss: mourning the world as we knew it and desired it, the end of the pristine. And thus, I will make way for new perspectives, allowing myself to be seduced by this intervened planet.
