Felipe Patarroyo (Colombia)

 

Felipe es artista interdisciplinario que trabaja con pintura, dibujo, escultura e instalación, medios a través de los cuales explora los fenómenos de los espacios que vive y transita. A través del juego con la materia y los espacios, emergen interacciones con las dinámicas de los ecosistemas urbanos y naturales que habita.

Algunos de los conceptos transversales presentes en su obra son el juego, la arquitectura, la

gravedad, la cotidianidad y los fenómenos naturales. La escultura y la instalación han desempeñado un papel importante al proporcionarle otros matices y variaciones en la forma en que conjuga sus ideas con los espacios que habita.

Durante su residencia, siguió explorando lo que sucede en los espacios que transita y habita a partir del juego con diferentes materiales pero principalmente el cartón. Trabajó en 4 de nuestros ateliers, Castillo con Christian Riffel, Acoyte con Julia Clutterbuck, Pólvora con Nadia Martynovich y La Pileta, con Clara Rodriguez.

Felipe is an interdisciplinary artist who works with painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation, media through which he explores the phenomena of the spaces he lives in and traverses. Through playing with materials and spaces, he interacts with the dynamics of the urban and natural ecosystems he inhabits.

Some transversal concepts present in his work include play, architecture, gravity, everyday life, and natural phenomena. Sculpture and installation have played an important role in providing him with different nuances and variations in how he combines his ideas with the spaces he inhabits.

During his residency, Felipe continued exploring what happens in the spaces he traverses and inhabits through playing with different materials, primarily cardboard. He worked in four of our ateliers: Castillo with Christian Riffel, Acoyte with Julia Clutterbuck, Pólvora with Nadia Martynovich, and La Pileta with Clara Rodriguez.
